The doctor says the retina looks intact!! If that's injured, they can't really repair the eye. He has high hopes that her eye can be fixed. She has something like a cataract which has to be removed, and the lens has to be changed. However they have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for her cornea to heal.
Now the bad news!
This is going to cost a pretty penny!!! Doctor estimates at least $10-11,000.00. Are there enough of us out there willing to share some of what we have to give a little girl her vision back? Her other eye isn't too good either, so she needs this one also.
If you can give some money, please send it to Chris Hlavacek and designate it for Yoldy's surgery.

Wow Elsie- lots is happening in your life and at Cannan eh? And another trip to the states for a wedding this time. Sounds like things are going well. Will continue to pray for Yoldy. Elsie, - I was with the team from Indiana back the first week of January 09, we painted the clinic if you remember. We will be back on January 29th 2010 and one of the girls is a dental assistant and will be bringing supplies to work on the children. She has a question and I don't know if you can answer or can find out. She is asking if you ahve a prophy hand piece available there? I don't even have a clue what that is but hope you do. Does anyone know how to find out if the medical clinic has a prophy hand piece or not?? I can not get one to bring with me but I do have scalers and I can still clean the childrens teeth but I could polish also if I knew we had a handpiece. So if anyone can find out for me that would be great!!! I will need to place my order before to long
